Mandocaster Upgrade Pickups

Eastwood, Alden, Clearwater & Harley Benton HBMA 500

A higher output, greater clarity and a more even string response are combined with a reverse wind / polarity on the bridge pickup to act as a humbucker when the middle position is selected.

The MCN8 (neck position) and MCB8 (bridge) are available separately, as a pair or ready assembled as a pre-wired upgrade kit with custom scratchplate.

Many thanks for your help last week with pickup wiring on my Clearwater mandocaster. I took the precautions of recording with the old pickups then with the new so I could check the difference, and difference there is. At least a 10dB higher output than the originals, these pickups drive my amps really well and suddenly I have a giggable instrument that's seriously fun to play. Always liked the mandocaster through an amp sim but it works for real on my little tune amp now. Mandocaster Facelift Kit

Pickups are available in black, cream and white. Upgrade kits give a choice of black, white, tortoiseshell, white pearloid, black pearloid and white scratchplates and come complete with all parts and wiring. The only soldering required being the jack socket.
